Prophesy PIM lets you store detailed information about all of your personal items: purchase price, vendor, digital photos etc., and calculates current value via a variety of depreciation methods. It’s easy to learn and use, and includes a variety of printed reports. Best of all Prophesy PIM is platform independent and has a small footprint. You can keep all of your information on a memory stick and carry it where ever you go. Your many possessions are probably worth thousands of dollars – to protect against loss, you’ve got insurance. But, if a loss should occur, you will need an accurate record of each item – how much did it cost, how much is it worth, and where was it located? A home inventory application is a great idea – but, the time required to enter all of the information is excessive. You’ve accumulated hundreds of items! And once you’ve entered the data, it takes too long to search for and find each individual item. That’s the problem with most home inventory managers – they’re not designed to alleviate this burden. Prophesy Personal Inventory Manager (PIM) is different. It was designed from the ground up to make it as easy as possible to enter information for, and find, each of your valuable items. PIM’s unique recursive tree view is a new paradigm for organizing hierarchical data – it is hands-down the best approach for managing large lists of data. Prophesy PIM lets you store detailed information about all of your personal items: purchase price, vendor, digital photos etc., and it calculates current value via a variety of depreciation methods. It’s easy to learn and use, and includes a variety of printed reports. And, best of all, PIM will run on most computers, including Windows, Mac, and Linux. That means you can install PIM on a memory stick and take your data where ever you go. Will you use Windows forever? Maybe not, so PIM stores your data in a platform independent XML format – so you can transfer your data to other computers too. And because XML is not a binary format, you can look at your data using any text editor. |
