Question	Program does not work at all, please advise.
Answer	Please uprgade modem driver.

Question	But rest programs work just fine! I can send/receive faxes, connect to the Internet, but your program does not work.
Answer	Please uprgade modem driver.

	Most problems with Extra Dialer, Modem Spy, Active Phone Server are because of driver. Program uses modem driver to access modem's voice features. Old drivers (or incorrectly installed new drivers) allow program to use data/fax features of modem, but not voice. So, in order to get above programs working, you should upgrade modem driver. Also, If you are running Windows 95, you will need to upgrade Unimodem/V driver. (setup instructions) Please note: Extra Dialer, Modem Spy and Active Phone Server work with voice modem only.

We do not recommend the following modems

SmartLink	There is a bug in modem driver. Modem does not detect Caller ID in Canada and (probably) USA. Bad sound quality (Smartlink programmers just forgot to convert 7200 to 8000 sampling rate). Also very often modem sends a noise instead of voice data. We contacted technical support of Smartlink in April/2001. They promised to fix bugs, but still there are no upgrades available.
U.S. Robotics	These modems have very low sound volume
